Blustery Day

This past Thursday morning I went out on an errand.  It was an extremely blustery day,  probably an effect of the nor'easter blasting New England. Driving up a nearby street, I saw an older gentleman setting out on a walk, with two walking sticks. He was dressed in a kilt.  You just don't expect to see something like that in our neighborhood, at least so early on a weekday morning. I wonder how he and his kilt fared in the high winds.

  2. There's something odd about seeing a kilt in person. (Or a guy in a skirt. There are some man skirts that kind of look like cargo shorts that are a thing. It took me aback the first time I saw a guy in one.) In the wind... Too bad you couldn't follow him ;)

  3. Let's hope that, contrary to tradition, he was wearing underwear beneath it.

I am so glad you are posting again!!!! I will be back regularly!!!

In regards to the kilt. Even though the adage is that men who wear kilts do not wear underwear..... I would kind of assume it it is cold and blustery, they would do so..... having those areas exposed to cold and blusteriness does NOT seem like something I would enjoy, nor any male. :)

But, if perhaps he was a rugged individualist, he did go sans underwear.... and if so, I am sure he may have had a "Marylin Monroe" moment or two along the way. :)

P.S. The image you posted for the quilted person is very cute!

  10. I think in the past four weeks. It wasn't a fully conscious decision, I don't think. More being foggy-brained from some things that have been going on. More about that later. Maybe it's Google that got confused, come to think of it. My sister and I have started a blog just for the two of us, and it would be silly to be "Forsythia" to her.
